Cladding, decking and interior surfaces in solid European timber — Shou Sugi Ban, straight from our Lithuanian workshop to projects across Europe.
Start a projectOur craft
Shou Sugi Ban (焼杉板), also known as Yakisugi, is a centuries-old Japanese technique. By controlled charring of the timber surface, we create a durable, weather-resistant skin that brings out the wood's depth and grain — and protects it for decades.
We work in Black Spruce, Sand Grey Spruce, Black Larch, Carbon Accoya, Oak and other solid European timbers. Each profile is hand-finished on our factory floor in Kaunas county, Lithuania and delivered to architects, builders and homeowners across Europe.
Why Yakisugi
Charring boosts resistance to weather, rot and pests — a centuries-old method that turns timber into an exceptionally durable surface for exterior and interior.
Every board carries its own grain story. Texture, depth and variation that mass-produced cladding can't match.
The charred surface sheds water and resists biological growth — minimal upkeep over decades.
A natural process that protects wood without chemicals, extending service life and reducing impact.

Applications
Modern and durable cladding for residential and commercial exteriors. Yakisugi delivers timber that stands up to the elements while making a quiet design statement.
Walls, ceilings and feature panels. The charred surface is moisture-resistant — at home in living spaces, kitchens and bathrooms.
Striking, low-maintenance fencing. The burn process inhibits rot and biological growth — less upkeep than untreated wood.
Outdoor terraces with depth and longevity. Charred deck boards age beautifully and ask very little in return.
